The basic rule
Lale Bahçesi is a match-3 game. You swipe with your finger to swap two flowers that sit next to each other. If the swap lines up at least three flowers of the same color horizontally or vertically, you get a match: the flowers pop and new ones fall in from above. A move that doesn't create a match is undone, and it doesn't cost you a move.
Every level has a goal and a limited number of moves. The goal is shown at the top of the screen: collect a certain number of flowers of a certain color, break all the ice or cover the board with grass, for example. Complete the goal before you run out of moves and you pass the level and earn a star.
Special powers
Match more than three flowers in a single move and a special power appears on the board. You set powers off by swiping them or tapping them.
| Power | How to make it | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 🚀 Rocket | Match 4 flowers in a straight line | Clears its entire row or column from end to end. A horizontal match gives a horizontal rocket, a vertical match a vertical one. |
| 🌀 Pinwheel | Match 4 flowers in a 2×2 square | Takes off, flies to the tile on the board that helps your goal the most and hits it. |
| 💣 Bomb | Match in an L or T shape (at least 3 both horizontally and vertically) | Blasts a wide area around it. |
| 🌈 Rainbow orb | Match 5 flowers in a straight line | Collects every flower on the board that has the color of the flower it is swapped with. |
Combining powers
Bring two special powers side by side and swap them with each other for a much bigger effect. Combining a rocket with a bomb clears three rows and three columns at once. Combining two orbs sweeps the entire board. In tough levels, setting up a combination is often the quickest way to reach the goal.
Obstacles
The first fifteen levels are all about collecting flowers. After that, four obstacles join the game one by one; each is briefly introduced in the level where it first appears.
- Ice (from level 16): Covers a flower. Include the frozen flower in a match or hit it with a power and the ice breaks.
- Vine (from level 31): A flower wrapped in a vine can't be moved. Match that flower or hit it with a power and the vine is cut.
- Rock (from level 46): Matching next to a rock doesn't damage it. Only rockets, bombs, pinwheels and orbs break rocks.
- Grass (from level 61): This one is a goal. Matches you make on grassy tiles spread the grass to neighboring tiles; the aim is to turn the whole board green.
Lives
You can have up to 5 lives. If you lose a level or quit in the middle of one, you lose 1 life. Lives refill on their own: you get 1 life every 20 minutes. If you don't want to wait, you can watch a rewarded ad for 1 life or refill your lives for 300 gold.
Stars and the garden
Every level you win gives you a star. You spend stars on tasks on the garden screen: clearing the thorny path, repairing the fountain, planting the flower beds, painting the pavilion, lighting the lanterns. Once all the tasks in an area are done, the next area unlocks. There are ten areas in total, and you can see them all on one screen on the map.
Boosters
- Hammer: Breaks a single tile of your choice without using a move. Ideal for taking out that last piece of ice or rock.
- Shuffle: Rearranges all the flowers on the board. Use it when there are no useful moves left.
Free rewards
- Daily gift: You get a gift every day you open the game.
- Lucky wheel: One free spin per day; watch an ad to spin once more.
- Daily ad chest: Opens once you have watched 5 rewarded ads in a day.
- Ad points: Every rewarded ad you watch earns 1 point. Reach 20 points and no ads appear between levels for 24 hours.
